Artist: Iman Verjee
Born & raised in Nairobi, Iman Verjee has lived and worked in Kenya, Canada and London. She has written two novels, In Between Dreams (2014) and Who Will Catch Us as We Fall (2016), in which she explores issues of race, class and corruption in modern-day Kenya.
She won the prestigious 2012 Peters Fraser & Dunlop/City University Prize for Fiction for her debut novel and was named one of CBC’s 20 Writers to Watch in 2016.
